What is the real Nexus Market URL?
There is no single permanent address and nothing on clearnet. Nexus runs several onion nodes that all reach the same market. Copy a current one from the bar at the top of any page and confirm it against the login screen.
Which coins does Nexus accept?
Both Bitcoin and Monero. For anything you want kept private, use Monero, because Bitcoin lands on a permanent public ledger. Nexus treats Monero as the first coin.
How do I know I am on the real Nexus?
Compare the onion on the login screen against your address bar. The real market prints its address in the anti-phishing image and again in the header, and a clone cannot serve the correct one in both places while sending you elsewhere. If they do not match, close the tab.
Is Nexus safe to use?
The market runs 2 of 3 multisig escrow so no single party can move your funds alone, and vendor reputation is deep and survives mirror changes. The real risk is a phishing copy of the login, which is why every link here is verified and why you confirm the address each session.
What if a Nexus node is down?
Almost always a Tor circuit or a short flood, not the market being gone. Request a new circuit and retry, or switch to another link in the top bar. They all reach the same place.
Does Nexus keep my vendor history if I switch mirrors?
Yes. The onions are just different doors into the same market. Your account, balance and every vendor rating are the same whichever one you use.
Does this site sell anything or hold my data?
No. It is a reference. It sells nothing, stores nothing about you, and is not the market. Its job is to hand you a verified link and an honest read on how Nexus works.
A few terms
- Multisig escrow
- An escrow address that needs two of three keys to release, held by buyer, vendor and market. No single party can move the coin alone.
- Vendor reputation
- The trail of completed orders and reviews behind a seller. On Nexus it is deep and it survives mirror changes.
- Finalize-early
- Releasing payment before the goods arrive. It removes your dispute path. Avoid it on unproven vendors.
- Monero (XMR)
- A coin that hides sender, receiver and amount by default. The private choice on Nexus.
- Onion address
- A fifty-six character Tor address ending in .onion. Copy it, never type it, and verify it on the login screen.
- Mirror
- A separate onion address that reaches the same market. Nexus keeps several so a downed node does not lock you out.
